Community Guidelines
Last updated 4 July 2026
What we expect from you
- Be respectful.Treat other players, venues, and hosts the way you’d want at a real mahjong table.
- Play fair. Show up for games you join, honour bookings, and compete honestly in tournaments.
- Be genuine.Use accurate profile information and don’t impersonate other people, venues, or organisers.
- Keep it relevant. Use clubs and chat for organising games and community, not spam or promotion.
What’s not allowed
- Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, disability, or similar.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises, endangers, or exploits children.
- Violent, graphic, or otherwise obscene content, and content promoting self-harm.
- Illegal activity, including unlawful gambling, fraud, scams, or money laundering.
- Spam, phishing, deceptive links, malware, or repetitive unsolicited messages.
- Sharing other people’s private information without consent, or content that infringes copyright or trademarks.
- Cheating, collusion, result manipulation, or abusing bookings (fake reservations, repeated no-shows).
- Attempts to hack, scrape, or disrupt the Services or other users’ accounts.
Reporting & blocking
If you see something that breaks these Guidelines, tell us. Here is exactly where the controls are:
- Report a message. In the Kaki app, press and hold the message, choose Report, and tell us what is wrong with it. Any member of a conversation can report — you do not have to be an admin.
- Block a person. In the Kaki app, press and hold one of their messages and choose Block. The block is account-wide and works both ways: from then on neither of you sees the other’s messages anywhere in Kaki. To undo a block, email us.
- Email us. Write to support@kakiapp.cowith details and screenshots. Use this route if you are on the website (kakiapp.co), where the report and block buttons are not available, or if the problem is a person’s profile or behaviour rather than one message.
We review reports and act on them within 24 hours of receiving them — removing content that breaches these Guidelines and ejecting the people responsible. Genuine reports are treated confidentially.
We do not pre-screen posts. Messages and images are not reviewed or automatically filtered before they are sent, so moderation depends on reports and on club and event admins acting in their own rooms. That is why reporting matters — if you do not tell us, we may not know.
Enforcement
Depending on the severity and history, we may take one or more of these actions:
- Remove or hide the content in question.
- Issue a warning.
- Limit access to certain features — for example muting or banning someone from a club or event conversation.
- Suspend or permanently terminate the account.
- Report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.
Serious violations — such as content that endangers children or credible threats of harm — result in immediate removal and a permanent ban; see our Child Safety Standards. If you believe we made a mistake, contact support@kakiapp.co to appeal, and a person will look at it again.
