Child Safety Standards

Our commitment

Kaki is a platform for adults to find mahjong games, join clubs, and play in tournaments. We are committed to preventing the use of our services to create, store, share, solicit, or facilitate any content or conduct that sexually abuses, endangers, or exploits children. We prohibit CSAE without exception and act on every credible report.

What is strictly prohibited

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video, text, or other content that depicts or describes the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor.
• Sexualising, grooming, soliciting, or attempting to meet a minor for sexual purposes.
• Sharing, requesting, or linking to CSAE content, including in profiles, chat, clubs, open-seat posts, or images.
• Trafficking, endangering, or otherwise exploiting a child in any way.
• Any other content or behaviour that sexualises or endangers a person under 18.

Age eligibility

Kaki accounts are for adults. You must be at least 17 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to hold a Kaki account, as set out in our Terms of Service. The app is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone below the minimum age to create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone below the minimum age, we remove it.

Children’s classes at venues. Some venues run in-person mahjong classes for children. A child signed up for one of those does not get a Kaki account, cannot sign in, and is never added to chat, clubs, or any other community feature — a parent or guardian handles the booking. What we record about a child, and how a guardian can have it deleted, is in section 8 of our Privacy Policy.

How to report CSAE

If you encounter content or behaviour that may involve the abuse or exploitation of a child, please report it immediately:

• In the app: press and hold the message, choose Report, and then Block the user. Any member of a conversation can report — you do not have to be an admin.
• By email: contact our child safety point of contact at support@kakiapp.cowith as much detail as possible (what you saw, where, and any usernames). Use this route from the website, or when the concern is about a person’s behaviour rather than one message.
• Emergencies: if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement right away.

Genuine reports are treated confidentially.

How we respond

CSAE reports are our highest priority. We review every report and act within 24 hours of receiving it. When we identify or receive a credible report of CSAE, we:

• Remove the content and preserve relevant evidence as required.
• Permanently ban the account(s) involved and block the offender from the platform.
• Report the matter to the appropriate authorities, including law enforcement and, where applicable, recognised child-protection organisations such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), in accordance with applicable law.
• Cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and child-safety authorities.

How content reaches us. Kaki does not automatically scan or filter messages and images before they are sent, and we do not run automated CSAM detection today. Detection therefore depends on reports from you and from club and event admins — which is why the report action above matters, and why we commit to acting on it inside 24 hours.

Legal compliance

We comply with applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where we operate, including Indonesia’s child-protection and electronic information regulations. We regularly review these standards and our moderation practices to keep them effective and up to date.
